What to do in Paris this weekend (30 sept - 01 oct)

If you are planning to come to Paris this weekend (Sept. 30 & Oct. 1), first of all welcome ! On this occasion, we have selected for you the best of what is going on in Paris, things you shouldn’t miss.

Saturday, October 30th, after a delightful breakfast at the hotel, we are heading to the opening of the 11 Conti Museum (11 quai de Conti 75006 Paris); located at only 20 minutes from the hotel with the subway line 4. The exhibition is divided into 3 different themes (Create, Reveal and Trade) which aim to take us behind the scenes. We will be discovering all the secrets heritages of the Monnaie de Paris and besides, we’ll have the chance to meet some craftspeople that would share with us their know-how and teach us their manufacturing methods.

It is now time to go for a walk in the famous Latin Quarter. We plan to have a lunch in Saint-Germain-des-Prés and to do some shopping around the Saint-Placide district. After all this, we will be going back to the hotel and have a quick rest before getting ready for the theatre night : the last show of “Arrête de pleurer Pénelope” at the Grand Point Virgule (8 bis rue de l’Arrivée, 75015 Paris) : within walking distance of the hotel. Since this show is in french, we can otherwise advise you the musical “Les Demoiselles de Rochefort” at The Grand Rex (1 boulevard Poissonnière 75002 Paris) : only 25 minutes from the hotel Lenox with metro line 4.

Sunday, Octobre 01st : Enjoy Paris with no car ! From 11 am to 6 pm, there won’t be any car in Paris.
No time to waist ! Let’s take a bike and go straight to the Open House Day of  “Musée Yves Saint Laurent” (5 Avenue Marceau, 75116 Paris). The Museum will officially open on October 3rd but let’s just enjoy the free preview first ! And with our bikes we hope to arrive right on time at 9 in the morning in order to be the first one !

So… already a few hours with nor car in Paris and wow, we really like it ! And to benefit even more of this pollution-free day, we are riding to “Les Grands Voisins” (82 avenue Denfert Rochereau 75014 Paris) to end up the weekend with a free visit of the gardens. This takes place for the first edition of “Jardins Ouverts” (which means Open Gardens).

Have a Nice Weekend
